Roboticist (Hands)

Munich
Full-time
Permanent employee

Your mission

As a Roboticist (Hands), you will be responsible for integrating dexterous manipulation hardware into our robotic platforms. You will act as the bridge between external hardware vendors and our internal engineering teams, ensuring that third-party end-effectors and manipulation systems integrate seamlessly with our mechanical, electrical, and control architectures.

Your mission is to accelerate development and deployment by identifying, evaluating, and integrating best-in-class manipulation hardware, while also defining system requirements for future in-house solutions when off-the-shelf products do not meet performance, reliability, or scalability needs.

  • Lead mechanical and electrical integration of dexterous end-effectors and manipulation hardware into our robotic systems. Develop mounting solutions, interface electronics, and communication layers to ensure reliable interaction with our control and software stacks.

  • Design and execute validation procedures to ensure manipulation hardware meets performance and reliability standards. Develop test rigs and benchmarking methodologies to evaluate durability, precision, duty cycles, and real-world task performance.

  • Maintain a deep understanding of the global ecosystem of robotic hands and manipulation hardware. Evaluate third-party solutions, select suitable vendors, and manage procurement and initial system integration.

  • Act as the technical point of contact with hardware suppliers, coordinating integration requirements, firmware compatibility, and potential customizations needed to support our platform.

  • Translate integration findings and system limitations into clear technical requirements for future hardware iterations. Provide input to internal engineering teams on the design of custom manipulation systems where existing solutions fall short.

Your profile

We are looking for engineers who thrive at the intersection of hardware integration, robotics systems engineering, and real-world deployment. You are pragmatic, detail-oriented, and capable of turning complex interdisciplinary concepts into robust, deployable robotic systems.

  • Experience: 5+ years in Robotics Hardware, mechatronics, or system integration, ideally with hands-on work integrating robotic end-effectors or manipulation systems.

  • Core Skills: Strong C/C++ and Python programming and scripting skills, with experience in embedded and edge computing devices. Solid understanding of real-time control requirements, interrupts, and threaded execution. Comfortable with linear algebra, coordinate systems, and 3D transformations. Experience with ROS / ROS2 and real-time control pipelines. Experience with using hardware communication protocols and sensor drivers. Rapid prototyping of mechanical and electrical subsystems, fluent navigation of CAD drawings and assemblies, wiring, soldering, mechanical assembly.

  • Mindset: You are a practical problem-solver who prioritizes reliability, robustness, and system performance. You understand that deployed robots must work consistently, and you approach integration with careful validation, testing, and optimization.

Why us?

  • The Team: Work alongside leadership with a proven track record of building unicorn-scale companies and defining global robotics standards.

  • Smart Strategy: We operate as disciplined fast followers. Capital is timed to the deployment inflection point, avoiding early-mover dead ends to scale fast on proven foundations.

  • Resources: We are substantially internally funded and attract top-tier investors to avoid any capital constraints for our mission.

  • Historic Opportunity: Join at the dawn of a new industry comparable to the rise of the automobile. Help shape the European champion in this trillion-dollar market.

About us

We are building a global leader in physical AI, anchored in Europe’s strongest robotics heritage. Founded by entrepreneurs with backgrounds in scaling digital products and advanced robotics, the team is bolstered by senior leadership from top-tier AI research labs and industrial tech companies.

Driven by a mission to create versatile and trustworthy embodied AI for physical labor, We fuse deep engineering mastery in AI and mechatronics with a rapid-execution culture. We are addressing the labor shortage by closing the gap to production-grade deployment. This means building the trusted alternative: robots that are safe, secure, and engineered to automotive standards of scale and durability.

Well-capitalized and operating in stealth, we are now assembling our team.

Our Locations: Vesoma has two main locations: Munich, Germany and Limassol, Cyprus. This pan-European setup represents our core ambition of building a European technology leader, gives us a great talent base and a strong corporate structure.

We are an equal opportunity employer.
