As a Linux System Administrator within our Research & Development team, you will serve as a foundational pillar for our physical AI and advanced robotics infrastructure. You will work directly with the AI software development team and senior research personnel to plan, commission, maintain, and own a highly complex, specialized environment.
This is an execution-focused role, tailored for someone who is intrinsically motivated by hard technical problems and wants to have true ownership over a cutting-edge technological playground. Your responsibilities span from high-end GPU clusters (on-premises and cloud) to custom laboratory workstations and embedded NVIDIA Jetson platforms operating directly on mobile humanoid robots.
Key responsibilities
Plan, set up, and maintain clusters, high-end workstations, and embedded systems dedicated to AI research - supporting both long-term heavy training workloads and real-time inference.
Build, optimize, and support operating systems for custom hardware. Take deep ownership of low-level configurations, drivers, and server environments tailored for robotics.
Actively support the R&D team in the lab with the physical provisioning, wiring, housing, commissioning, and rapid troubleshooting of workstations and physical robots.
Propose, research, and drive team decisions regarding network layouts, hardware selection, operating system choices, and service layers.
Document architectural learnings and coordinate requirements with our external IT service provider.
