R&D Mechanic

You are the "master builder" who brings our designs to life. With a surgical approach to mechanics, you ensure our early-stage prototypes are built to an elite standard of precision. You don't just assemble; you optimize, ensuring every system is tuned like a high-performance racing machine.

Key responsibilities

• Precision Assembly: Lead the build of complex mechatronic systems, navigating the nuances of evolving R&D designs with a "First-Time-Right" mindset.

• Workshop Stewardship: Own the "white-floor" assembly environment, maintaining world-class standards for tool organization and hardware inventory.

• Quality Control: Lead the inspection of incoming precision parts, verifying supplier quality with high-end metrology tools.

• On-the-Fly Fabrication: Utilize lathes and mills to modify parts or create custom jigs that simplify the assembly and servicing of the robot.

We are seeking a "master builder" with a surgical approach to mechanics. You don't just fix things; you optimize them. You understand that in complex mechatronic systems, there is no room for "good enough."

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in high-end/precision mechanical assembly (e.g., Motorsports, Aerospace, Medical Devices, Precision Gears or High-End Robotics).

Core Skills

• Tool Mastery: Expert-level proficiency with precision hand tools, gauges, and diagnostic equipment.

• CAD Literacy: Ability to read and interpret complex 3D assemblies and technical drawings. The ability to model simple parts in CAD is a strong plus.

• Manual & CNC Machining: Proven ability to operate a lathe and milling machine is a major advantage. 

• Quality Control: Ability to lead the  inspection process for incoming parts, using precision measuring tools to verify supplier quality.

• You are obsessive about workshop cleanliness and detail-oriented documentation. You thrive where speed and precision must coexist.

• The Team: Work alongside leadership with a proven track record of building unicorn-scale companies and defining global robotics standards.
