R&D Mechanic

Munich
Full-time
Permanent employee

Your mission

As an R&D Mechanic, you join the early team and bring our designs to life. You build the prototypes of our humanoid - an industrial-grade machine built for the highest levels of reliability and performance - to the highest standard of precision. You don't just assemble: you improve how every system is built, serviced and tuned.

Key responsibilities

  • Precision Assembly: Lead the build of complex mechatronic systems and handle evolving R&D designs with a first-time-right mindset.
  • Workshop Ownership: Own the assembly area to the highest standards of cleanliness, tool organization and hardware inventory.
  • Quality Control: Lead the inspection of incoming precision parts and verify supplier quality with professional metrology equipment.
  • Fabrication & Fixtures: Modify parts and build custom jigs and fixtures that simplify assembly and servicing of the robot.
  • Design Feedback: Feed assembly and service insights back to the design engineers to improve every iteration.

Your profile

We seek builders ready to move beyond theory to real deployment: professionals who value precision and reliability as much as innovation.

Must have
  • Experience: 3+ years in high-end precision mechanical assembly (e.g. motorsports, aerospace, medical devices, precision gears or high-end robotics).
  • Tool Mastery: Expert-level proficiency with precision hand tools, gauges and measuring equipment.
  • Drawing Literacy: Able to read and interpret complex 3D assemblies and technical drawings, including GD&T.
  • Quality Control: Experience inspecting parts with precision measuring tools and documenting the results.
  • Mindset: You are precise, organized and document your work carefully. You thrive where speed and precision must coexist, and you know there is no room for "good enough".
Nice to have
  • Manual Machining: Proven ability to operate a lathe and milling machine.
  • CNC & CAM: Experience with 5-axis CNC setup, maintenance and CAM programming.
  • CAD Modeling: Ability to model simple parts and fixtures in CAD.
  • Mechatronic Basics: Experience with wiring, connectors and basic electrical troubleshooting.

Why us?

  • The Team: Work alongside leadership with a proven track record of building unicorn-scale companies and defining global robotics standards.

  • Smart Strategy: We operate as disciplined fast followers. Capital is timed to the deployment inflection point, avoiding early-mover dead ends to scale fast on proven foundations.

  • Resources: We are substantially internally funded and attract top-tier investors to avoid any capital constraints for our mission.

  • Historic Opportunity: Join at the dawn of a new industry comparable to the rise of the automobile. Help shape the European champion in this trillion-dollar market.

About us

We are building a global leader in physical AI, anchored in Europe’s strongest robotics heritage. Founded by entrepreneurs with backgrounds in scaling digital products and advanced robotics, the team is bolstered by senior leadership from top-tier AI research labs and industrial tech companies.

Driven by a mission to create versatile and trustworthy embodied AI for physical labor, we fuse deep engineering mastery in AI and mechatronics with a rapid-execution culture. We are addressing the labor shortage by closing the gap to production-grade deployment. This means building the trusted alternative: robots that are safe, secure, and engineered to automotive standards of scale and durability.

We are well-capitalized and now assembling our team.

Our Locations: Vesoma has two main locations: Munich, Germany and Limassol, Cyprus. This pan-European setup represents our core ambition of building a European technology leader, gives us a great talent base and a strong corporate structure.

We are an equal opportunity employer.
