Junior CAD Engineer

Munich, Limassol
Full-time
Permanent employee

Your mission

As a Junior Mechanical Engineer, you enter as a member of the early team building the physical body of our humanoid - an industrial-grade machine built for the highest levels of reliability and performance. You will work directly with our senior engineers to turn concepts into detailed CAD, back them up with calculations and simulation, and get parts built and tested. You learn fast, and you take pride in getting the basics right from day one.

Your profile

Key responsibilities
  • Detailed Design & CAD: Build and maintain CAD models, assemblies and production drawings from senior engineers' concepts - structural parts, brackets, housings and actuator components.
  • Engineering Calculations: Carry out bearing, fastener and strength calculations, document your assumptions clearly and review them with the team.
  • Simulation Support: Set up and run FEA studies (static, modal, thermal) and prepare the results for design reviews.
  • Prototyping & Testing: Prepare parts for manufacture (drawings, tolerances, BOMs), coordinate with the workshop and suppliers, and assemble and test prototypes - feeding what you learn straight back into the design.
  • DFM/DFA in Practice: Apply the team's DFM/DFA standards in your daily work and flag manufacturing or assembly issues early.
  • Documentation: Keep CAD data, BOMs, release status and design notes clean and up to date so the team can move fast.* Cross-Functional Support: Work with the AI, Controls and Software teams on integration details such as sensor mounts, cable routing and mass properties.
Who we are looking for
We seek builders ready to move beyond demos to real-world deployment - early-career engineers who value precision and reliability as much as innovation.
  • Experience: 2+ years of professional experience and a degree (BSc/MSc) in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, aerospace or a related field. Internships, working student roles, a hardware-focused thesis or student teams (e.g. Formula Student, robotics competitions) count.
  • Core Skills: Solid 3D CAD skills including clean production drawings and GD&T basics, and a strong grounding in machine elements and strength of materials (bearings, fasteners, stress analysis, load paths). Also expected:
  • First hands-on FEA experience and the habit of sanity-checking results by hand.
  • Working knowledge of common manufacturing processes (CNC machining, sheet metal, additive manufacturing, injection moulding) and how they shape a design.  *
  • Comfortable in the workshop - assembling prototypes, measuring parts, 3D printing and basic machining.
  • A basic understanding of kinematics and actuators is a plus.
  • Mindset: You balance the agility of a startup with the professional rigor required for a global industrial player. You are curious, take feedback well and own your work end to end - and you understand that a robot in the real world faces forces and failures that don't exist in a simulation.

Why us?

  • The Team: Work alongside leadership with a proven track record of building unicorn-scale companies and defining global robotics standards.*
  • Smart Strategy: We operate as disciplined fast followers. Capital is timed to the deployment inflection point, avoiding early-mover dead ends to scale fast on proven foundations.
  • Resources: We are substantially internally funded and attract top-tier investors to avoid any capital constraints for our mission.
  • Historic Opportunity: Join at the dawn of a new industry comparable to the rise of the automobile. Help shape the European champion in this trillion-dollar market

About us

We are building a global leader in physical AI, anchored in Europe’s strongest robotics heritage. Founded by entrepreneurs with backgrounds in scaling digital products and advanced robotics, the team is bolstered by senior leadership from top-tier AI research labs and industrial tech companies.

Driven by a mission to create versatile and trustworthy embodied AI for physical labor, We fuse deep engineering mastery in AI and mechatronics with a rapid-execution culture. We are addressing the labor shortage by closing the gap to production-grade deployment. This means building the trusted alternative: robots that are safe, secure, and engineered to automotive standards of scale and durability.

Well-capitalized and operating in stealth, we are now assembling our team.

Our Locations: Vesoma has two main locations: Munich, Germany and Limassol, Cyprus. This pan-European setup represents our core ambition of building a European technology leader, gives us a great talent base and a strong corporate structure.

We are an equal opportunity employer.
