Thermal Simulation Engineer
Your mission
As a Thermal Simulation Engineer, you enter as a key member of the early team and own the thermal performance of our physical AI. You will work directly with the founders and senior leadership to define the thermal architecture of our robots. From transient spikes during peak actuator loads to the airflow inside our cooling ducts, you make sure every watt of heat finds its way out - keeping our robots reliable under the real duty cycles a demo will never show you.
Your profile
- Transient Thermal Analysis: Model the transient thermal events that define real humanoid operation - actuator peak loads, duty-cycle heat spikes and thermal soak - not just steady state.
- CFD & Cooling System Design: Run CFD simulations of airflow through cooling ducts and heat sinks, covering both active (fan-driven) and passive (natural convection) cooling architectures.
- System-Level Thermal Management: Define thermal budgets across the robot and translate them into concrete cooling requirements for the mechanical, electrical and actuator teams.
- Validation Rigor: Correlate simulation results with physical thermal testing (thermal imaging, sensor logging) to continuously refine model accuracy.
We seek builders ready to move beyond demos to real-world deployment - professionals who value precision and reliability as much as innovation.
- Experience: 5+ years in thermal engineering and CFD in high-performance robotics, aerospace or automotive, with a track record of cooling architectures that held up under real transient peak loads in physical hardware.
- Core Skills: Expert-level CFD and transient thermal simulation, backed by hands-on cooling system design. In detail:
- CFD: Expert command of CFD tools (e.g. Ansys Fluent/Icepak or comparable) for airflow and active/passive cooling analysis - validated against physical airflow and temperature measurements, not just mesh convergence.
- Transient Thermal Simulation: Deep expertise in modeling thermal behavior under dynamic, high-peak-power operating conditions, where the worst case is a spike, not an average.
- Cooling System Design: Practical knowledge of fan selection, duct design, heat sink design and passive convection cooling - in architectures that shipped and held up under real duty cycles.
- CAD & FEA: Comfortable in CAD (ideally CATIA and Fusion 360) and in coupling thermal results with structural/FEA workflows.
- Mindset: You balance the agility of a startup with the professional rigor required for a global industrial player. You bridge the mechanical, electrical and software teams rather than working in a modeling silo, and you iterate until predicted and measured behavior match.

About us
We are building a global leader in physical AI, anchored in Europe’s strongest robotics heritage. Founded by entrepreneurs with backgrounds in scaling digital products and advanced robotics, the team is bolstered by senior leadership from top-tier AI research labs and industrial tech companies.
Driven by a mission to create versatile and trustworthy embodied AI for physical labor, We fuse deep engineering mastery in AI and mechatronics with a rapid-execution culture. We are addressing the labor shortage by closing the gap to production-grade deployment. This means building the trusted alternative: robots that are safe, secure, and engineered to automotive standards of scale and durability.
Well-capitalized and operating in stealth, we are now assembling our team.
Our Locations: Vesoma has two main locations: Munich, Germany and Limassol, Cyprus. This pan-European setup represents our core ambition of building a European technology leader, gives us a great talent base and a strong corporate structure.
We are an equal opportunity employer.
